Everything you need to know.

EDGR is a personalized financial news dispatch. You build watchlists of tickers — the symbols you actually care about — and EDGR delivers a focused pre-market and post-market briefing for those names, on the schedule you choose.

Each dispatch aggregates news from across the financial press, deduplicates so you don't see the same story twice, ranks by event severity, and summarizes each headline. You get a focused brief — signal, not noise.

Free for everyone. Premium tier (AI summaries from the EDGR Investment Research Group) launches separately.

   Sign up with email + password (8+ chars, with a number, a capital letter, and a special character). Your password is checked against known data breaches before saving — pick something unique or click Generate strong password.

   Verify your email with the 6-digit code we send.

   Enroll in two-factor authentication — required, not optional. Pick an authenticator app (recommended: 1Password, Google Authenticator, Authy, Bitwarden) or email-based codes.

   Save your 10 recovery codes. They appear once. Stash them in a password manager or print them. They're how you get back in if you lose your authenticator.

   Build a watchlist. See section 03.

A watchlist is a named bucket of tickers. Each user gets one free watchlist; additional watchlists are $10/year each. Every watchlist holds up to 10 tickers. All editing happens on the Dashboard.

Tickers are case-sensitive at delivery (we match $BE in headlines, not the English word "be").

Two dispatches every weekday. Set them under Delivery on the Dashboard.

• Timezone Any IANA name — America/New_York, Europe/London, Asia/Tokyo, etc.
• Pre-market fire When the morning dispatch arrives. Default 09:00 in your timezone. Looks at the past 17 hours of news (64h on Mondays to cover the weekend).
• Post-market fire When the evening dispatch arrives. Default 16:30 in your timezone. Looks at the past 8 hours.

Times are rounded to the nearest 15 minutes. Mon–Fri only — never on weekends.

Anyone can join your watchlist with an invite link. Recipients see your tickers in their dispatches alongside their own — they can't add, remove, or rename anything you own.

Manage everything sensitive from Account.

• Change password Confirm current password, set a new one (HIBP-checked again).
• Change email Verification link goes to the new address. The old address gets a security alert.
• Regenerate codes Voids old recovery codes, gives you 10 new ones (shown once).
• Switch 2FA method Email ↔ authenticator app. Verification required before the switch persists.
• Reset 2FA Wipes enrollment + recovery codes; signs you out; forces re-enrollment on next sign-in.
• Delete account Irreversible. Removes user, watchlists you own, and memberships. Type DELETE + password to confirm.

Each email is a stack of watchlist cards, one per list you own or have joined. A card has up to four sections, each tuned to surface a different signal:

• Top Stories High-severity events: FDA actions, M&A announcements, earnings, guidance changes, fraud or major lawsuits.
• Analyst Ratings Upgrades, downgrades, and target changes from Wall Street.
• X & Web Sentiment and commentary surfaced from social and web sources.
• By Ticker Everything else, grouped by symbol.

Articles are deduped across sources within a fire and across fires for the past 48 hours — you won't see the same headline in your morning dispatch and again in the evening.

Bot replies are private (ephemeral). Bot DMs require the EDGR Discord server.

Didn't get my dispatch.

Check spam first. The sender is news@mail.edgr.news. If your watchlist is empty (or all tickers are large-cap with no news in the window), there's nothing to send.

My ticker isn't being matched.

Tickers must be uppercase and 1–10 chars (letters, digits, dot, dash). Smallcap and microcap names tend to have lighter coverage — that's a function of the news ecosystem, not us.

Locked out of my authenticator.

Use any of your recovery codes — paste it where you'd normally enter the 6-digit code. Each code works once. Then regenerate or switch method from Account.

Lost my recovery codes too.

Email us with proof of account control (the email on file). We'll reset your 2FA after a manual check.

"Too many sign-in attempts."

Either your account is locked (5 wrong passwords → 15 min lockout) or your IP hit the 2FA failure rate-limit (20 per 15 min). Wait it out and try again.

CAPTCHA won't load.

We use Cloudflare Turnstile. If it doesn't render, your browser may be blocking challenges.cloudflare.com — disable a tracker blocker temporarily for this site.
